Subject: | [[mget-announce]] MGET for ArcGIS 10.2 |
Date: | Fri, 9 Aug 2013 14:01:08 -0400 |
Dear MGET users, We are happy to announce the release of MGET 0.8a50, which supports ArcGIS 10.2 only 10 days after it was released by ESRI! If you are rolling out 10.2, please download MGET 0.8a50 from the MGET website. In other news, in response to user requests, we are developing tools for converting MODIS L2 HDF files from the NASA GSFC OceanColor group to ArcGIS compatible vector (point) and raster formats. These data provide SST, chlorophyll, and other MODIS-derived ocean parameters at 1 km resolution. Because these data are 5-minute swath granules (i.e. strip segments of what the satellite collects during 5 minute blocks of time) they are difficult to work with. But if you have need for data at that high resolution and can tolerate that difficulty, MGET will soon be able to help you get those data into ArcGIS. MGET 0.8a50 includes alpha versions of the first two tools, for converting SST HDF files to ArcGIS point features or rasters. Feel free to contact me for more information.
