Jason,

I am interested in processing Coastwatch HDFs (and other HDFs that are HDF4) 
by
converting to ArcInfo ASCII Grid and then using GDAL/OGR to convert to
png/tif/etc. I am working off a laptop that doesnt have Arc or Matlab. 

I am operating on Windows 7. My questions are:

1) Will MGET work on windows 7?

2) What other dependencies do I need besides GDAL/OGR and Python 2.5?

3) Are there any tools available that will automatically connect via OpenDap 
or
FTP to download the data from NOAA?
