Yes, everything that you have said is correct. Is it not working?
I realized I had not tested it with non-ASCII characters such as á. I tested
that just now and it worked, at least with ArcGIS 9.3.1 SP1. I see no
immediate reason why the paths you mentioned below would not work.

Hi Im trying to use the raster move listed in table tool. It takes one table
input correct? With 2 arguments, the input field and the output field (both
strings with the path name, right?) I´m using
"C:\Bruce\LACTEC\Mauá\GRID\decliv_007" and
"C:\Bruce\LACTEC\Mauá\GRID_AI\decliv_007" for input and output paths. Is this
