Hi Malanding,

This example:

http://code.env.duke.edu/projects/mget/wiki/Converting%20HDFs%20to%20ArcGIS%
20rasters

discusses how to find the SDS name and other parameters of MODIS chlorophyll
HDFs. In short, the SDS is probably named "l3m_data". But I highly recommend
you review the example because it will answer additional questions you may
have.

Best regards,

Jason

Subject: [mget-help] problems finding correct SDS name

I am a first time user of the MGET tools.  I managed to download and install
the python packages and the toolboxes without trouble.

I am trying to run the Convert SDS in HDF to ArcGIS Raster tool, using
S20081222008152.L3b_MO_CHL.main.bz2 as HDF file. I am interested in
extracting
chlorophyll concentration variables(mean, std, sample) But I can not seem to
figure out what to type in  SDS name space. Any ideas?

Thanks

Malanding Jaiteh
