Hi Adriana, MGET should work on Windows Server 2008 x64, although we have
not tested it. We test it regularly on Windows Server 2003 32-bit and Windows 7
x64, so it does get exercised on both server and x86 platforms, just not both
at the same time. The installation on Windows Server 2008 x64 should be similar to
the installation of Windows 7 x86. You need these things, in this order: 1.
ArcGIS 9.3. 2.
The latest service pack for your ArcGIS (downloadable from http://support.esri.com/) 3.
Python 2.5 for 32-bit Windows (also known as x86 processors). ArcGIS
should have installed this. You can check for a directory C:\Python25. If you
see it, then you have it. If not, download it from http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.4/.
Be sure to pick the version for Windows x86 processors. 4.
The Python pywin32 package for Python 2.5 and 32-bit windows. This
was automatically installed by earlier versions of ArcGIS, but not 9.3 or later
versions. Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/files/
and get the file named pywin32-214.win32-py2.5.exe. You should see it in the middle
of the list of files. 5.
MGET for Python 2.5. Important: In steps 4 and 5, you will need to save the
downloaded files to your hard drive and then open the folder that contains
them. Then right-click on the file and select Run As Administrator. If you do
not do this, you will receive some errors from the installation programs. Best regards, Jason From: Adriana Martinez
