Hi Jason!
Many thanks for your quick answer. In fact the problem was that
mentioned on point 4. I was trying to see MGEt in a old Arcmap project. I already saw MGET on Arc Catalog. However, the toolbox was saved at
C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\GeoEco\ArcGISToolbox.
Now I have a long way to go with this tool.

I regularly use MGET with ArcGIS 9.3.1 on 64-bit Windows 7. There is little
difference between ArcGIS 9.3.1 and 9.3; internally, ArcGIS 9.3.1 actually
calls itself ArcGIS 9.3 Service Pack 2, but I guess ESRI wanted to give a
new version number for some reason. So I doubt the version combination of
ArcGIS and Windows is the root problem.

Here are some things to check?

1. Did the MGET installer report any error message? If you remember one,
please tell me what you remember because it may help me narrow down the
problem.

2. Do you have the 32-bit version of Python 2.5? Most likely, the answer is
yes, because it is what ArcGIS requires. MGET also requires it, and does not
work with 64-bit Python at this time.

3. It may be that the MGET installer failed to add the MGET toolbox to your
ArcToolboxes list in ArcCatalog. The installer is supposed to report an
error, but perhaps it did not or you did not notice it. To check whether it
worked: start ArcCatalog and look at the ArcToolboxes list. If you do not
see it, then right click on the top item of the list and select Add Toolbox.
Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoEco\ArcGISToolbox and add the toolbox
you see there.

4. If you created ArcMap documents before you installed MGET, ArcMap may not
show the MGET toolbox for those documents. This is because ArcMap stores a
custom list of toolboxes for each document, and the documents existed before
MGET was on the machine. The MGET installer does not try to find all your
ArcMap documents and add itself to them (it would be very time consuming) so
you have to do it manually using the procedure I describe above.

First of all congratulations for your excellent work. After reading your
article, I am trying to install mget on my computer. But nothing! I have
installed ArcGIS 9.3, already installed Python 2.5 and pywin32-212 and
nothing. I am suspicious that is by having a 64 bit Windows 7. What
could be the problem?
