Subject: | RE: [mget-help] Long-term mean of AVISO Goestropic Currents |

J.T., We’re glad to know that MGET has been a help for your study. You can use the same tool (Create Climatological Rasters for Aviso Geostrophic Currents Product) to create a long-term mean. Just change the Climatology Bin Type parameter from “Monthly” to “Cumulative”. This will calculate the specified statistic over the entire temporal extent and output a single raster. For example, if your temporal extent was 1992-2002, you would get one raster representing the mean over that entire time period. Best regards, Jason From: J.T. Boehm [mailto:] Hello, I can't tell you happy I was to find this tool. I am working on some species distribution models (of Syngnathidea) in the western Atlantic. Using MGET I downloaded some of the AVISO Goestropic Currents, so I now have monthly mean rasters from 1992-2002. I was wondering if there is a way, like with the Climatological raters for AVISO that I can get a long-term mean compiled. Could you please let me know if there is some documentation available for this step. Thank you, J.T. Boehm PhD Student The CUNY Graduate Center |
