Dear Sergi, I should be able to help you with that problem. I have not seen it before with MGET. I did some internet research and noticed that it has come up previously with other Python packages. The common issue seems to be that Python is not installed in a way that allows its main DLL (python25.dll) to be located by the package installer (GeoEco-0.8a26.win32-py2.5.exe). Did you install Python 2.5.1 yourself, or did ArcGIS install it for you? If you installed it yourself, did you select the option “Install for everyone” or did you select “Install for just me”? If you picked “just me”, I found some advice that says you should uninstall Python and then install it again using the “install for everyone” option instead. If ArcGIS installed it, or you already tried the “install for everyone”, then let me know and we can try a different solution. Best regards, Jason From: Sergi Pérez [mailto:] Dear Sir, I am trying to install the Marine Geospatial Ecology Tool and I am having problem with Phyton. I have installed on my computer Phyton 2.5.1 and once I try to install GeoEco-0.8a26.win32-py2.5, it says that “Can't load Python for pre-install script”. I have tried different things but they havent worked. How I could solve this problem?? Thank you very much for your help. Sergi Pérez PhD candidate University of Cadiz (SPAIN) |
