Subject: | [mget-help] How to detect eddy cores and edges |

Hi Jason,
Firstly, thank you for a great, and long overdue, gis tool for marine animal movement stuff.
I am new to MGET and steady get there but I am a bit stuck at the moment with the Okubo-Weiss eddies tool.
I manage to download the eddy rasters as well as the "eddy ages" and "eddy polarity" rasters.
As I understand it you are able to tell from the Okubo-Weiss parameter (W) whether a cell is an eddy core or edge or just background.
Where do you get the W parameter, in which raster?
Is it possible to determine from the Aviso SSH rasters whether a cell is part of an eddy core, edge or just background? And how would I go about doing that?
Thank you,
Marie
