Dear Abantika,
I'm not sure what the problem is there. Certainly if you have 2.9.0
installed, the tool should not complain asking for version 2.9.0 or later.
2.9.0 is quite old now, released four years ago. Even if we fix this problem
of MGET not recognizing it, you may encounter other problems down the line.
Is it possible for you to uninstall 2.9.0 and install a more recent version?
The latest version of MGET supports R 2.15.3. Note that R 3.0.0 was released
recently. MGET does not support it yet. When you install R from CRAN, you
will have to look for a link to "old releases" to find 2.15.3.
It is possible there is a more general problem and MGET will not recognize
any version of R. If that is happening, upgrading to 2.15.3 will make no
difference. In that case, we'll have to do something more complicated to
diagnose it. But let's cross that bridge when we come to it...

I am running this on Arcgis 10 on a windows 7 (64bit) machine and the
version of the R installed is 2.9.0. I also updated the python package with
pywin32-218.win32-py2.6.exe
