Hi Matt, I’m sorry I have not had time to release a version of MGET compatible with R 3.0.0 yet. I will hopefully get to that within a week, once I reach a checkpoint in an unrelated major project. You have three main options for controlling which version of R MGET tries to use: 1. Edit the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\R-core\R registry key. Change the Current Version and InstallPath variables to appropriate values. As far as I know, changing these do not affect R itself at all. They merely tell other programs that interact with R which version of R is considered to be “current”. 2. Install reinstall the version of R that you want MGET to use. Assuming you accept the default settings in the R installer, this will have the effect of changing the registry keys above. If you do not change the default settings (a checkbox near the end of the installer), then the registry will reflect the most recently installed version of R. You probably have 3.0.0 in your registry because it is probably the most recently installed. 3. Close all ArcGIS programs, then set the RHOME environment variable to the path to the R installation directory you want MGET to use (e.g. C:\Program Files\R\R-2.15.0). Start ArcGIS again. MGET should now use this version and ignore whatever is in the registry. (I have not tested this in a while, however; please let me know if you have any problems.) The advantage of the third method is that it will not involve editing the registry, and if you are sophisticated, you can accomplish it very surgically: you could write a batch file that sets the RHOME and then runs ArcMap or ArcCatalog. By doing I that way, RHOME will just be set for that instance of ArcMap/ArcCatalog and nothing else on the system can possibly be affected. Best, Jason From: Matthew Marsik [mailto:] Hello Jason, I’ve just upgraded MGET 0.8a48 for ArcGIS 10.1 and have 2 builds of R installed 3.0.0 (which is not compatible with this build of MGET) and 2.15.0, which is compatible. When I run the fit GLM tool, MGET looks for the R 3.0.0; how can I redirect MGET to use R 2.15.0? Cheers, Matt Marsik Please consider the environment before printing this email.
