I get the following error when trying to use one of the interpolation tools:

ValueError: The value specified for the points parameter, H:\ArcThis\ArcProjects\nefop_monkfish_new_Events.lyr, exists but it is not a feature class or layer. Please specify a feature class or layer.

I would appreciate any assistance in trying to solve the problem.
