Hi Lavina, Yes, you are correct. Magnitude is the current speed. Sorry for the confusion about that. I believe for HYCOM, speed is in m/s, but for Aviso it might be cm/s. You can probably easily guess by looking at the data, but if there is any confusion, let me know. Best, Jason From: 程宛華 [mailto:] To someone whom maybe concerned, My name is Wan-Hwa Cheng. I am currently using the current map that I downloaded from Create Current Vectors for HYCOM GLBa0.08 Equatorial Region. When I checked the attribute table, there are two values, one is called angles, the other one is magnitude. I am wondering is the magnitude values means current speed?
