I tried it and it worked for me. The attached file shows the workflow and parameters I used. Can you try this and see if it works for you?

 

Notes:

 

·         It is unlikely that ArcGIS will be able to write directly to a CSV file so I put it into a geodatabase.

·         I used a geodatabase rather than a shapefile so that null values can be stored in the SST field when no data are available from HYCOM. Shapefiles cannot store nulls in floating point fields. (If I had used a shapefile, the tool would have written -9999, I think.)

·         I also used a geodatabase because date fields in shape files cannot preserve the time component of dates. It is usually important to preserve the time component.

Dear Sirs,

I am currently working on a project for the Archipelagos marine Institute and was hoping you could help me with a problem I am having using MGET.

I am running the tool "Interpolate HYCOM GLBu0.08 4D Variables at Points"

upon a CSV data file (I have attached this FYI)

I believe I am putting all the parameters correctly however the SST values (or any from HYCOM) are never entered into the new field I have created, although the tool reported all data points inserted correctly.

I would be very grateful if you had any ideas what might be wrong.
