Dear Touria, Thanks for your interest in MGET. I’m sorry for my slow reply. The HabModelExample3 is very old and needs to be revised before it will work with newer versions of MGET and R. Instead of using that, please see this example from a workshop in New Zealand (I just updated it to make sure it works). It is more complicated than HabModExample3, as it builds both a presence/absence model and a density model. The density model follows the two-stage “density surface model” methodology that first uses “distance sampling” to fit a detection function to model the probability of sighting an animal based on its distance from survey trackline, then a generalized additive model (GAM) to model the sighting rate (also known as encounter rate) from environmental covariates. There are also some slides you can download that give background on MGET and the example exercise. Best regards,
