Dear Angelika,

Thanks for the detailed output at Dropbox. That is a very bizarre error. In short, says that MGET had a problem accessing one of its own modules (GeoEco.MetadataUtils). But what is crazy about this, is that the module was already successfully imported into the Python program that is running. I don’t know how that is possible.

Could you please try uninstalling MGET 0.8a61 and installing the most recent one? That might solve the problem.

To uninstall, click the Start button, type Programs and Features, and press enter. The list of programs comes up. Then scroll down to Python 2.7 Marine Geospatial Ecology Tools 0.8a61 and click on it. After it’s done you can install the new one.

The latest MGET available on the website is currently 0.8a64, but since you are working with MODIS L3 SST, I recommend you use 0.8a65 which has not been posted to the website yet. This release contains a fix that allows accessing of some other MODIS L3 SST data than what you are accessing (but perhaps you will want to access them later). You can get 0.8a65 from here:

Best,

Jason

Subject: [mget-help] MGET problem: Create Rasters for PO.DAAC MODIS L3 SST

Hello,

I have a problem with the MGET tool: whatever I do, I get the message " AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'MetadataUtils' ".

I have MGET version 0.8a61 since February 2016 and used it actively until April with no difficulty. I have ArcGIS 10.3 on my laptop, it is under a McGill one-year student license that I had to renew today. I don't know if this could be the problem or if I need to update something around MGET itself.

In case it helps, I am adding a link to my dropbox with the
output of the ArcGIS geoprocessing window: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nt27j7nnwj13a82/AAA0ct4OUeCkXctSpUhbp3s2a?dl=0

Have a great day,
Angelika Aleksieva
