Hi Sanjay,
I can help you with this. The main problem that I am aware of people encountering recently is that several months ago NASA appeared to switch their server to require https be used for some or possibly all PO.DAAC datasets. The currently-released version of MGET (0.8a68) uses http and does not appear to always handle the NASA server’s redirect.
Our plan is to change MGET to access PO.DAAC with https, starting with MGET 0.8a69. We hoped to complete that release in October but it has been delayed by some other projects that are higher priority for us. (Unfortunately we haven’t had dedicated funding for MGET since 2011, so we have to squeeze it in here and there.) Hopefully we can complete it by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, I attached a patch you can try, to see if it fixes your problem. To apply it:
1. Close all ArcGIS programs.
2. Save the attached file to the C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.5\Lib\site-packages\GeoEco\DataProducts\NASA directory, overwriting the file that is there. Note that you will need to adjust the path based on what version of ArcGIS you have. (You may also want to back up the file from 0.8a68 that is currently there.)
3. Restart ArcGIS and try again.
Please let me know if that works. If not, please send complete output from the tool. You can highlight the text in the geoprocessing output window and copy/paste it into email.

Hello all –
My students are getting errors about connectivity to the MODIS data pool (particularly access to THREDDS catalog for L3 SST products ) via the MGET DataProducts toolset. I saw this error in the past year with changes to the pathway but not more recently and we are running MGET-0.8a68.win32-py2.7. I browsed the posts, but could not pull up any threads on this topic. Has the pathway changed again and is there a workaround to update this?
Best regards,
