Dear Joe,
I’m sorry for my slow reply. Unfortunately the technology that we use to interface with R requires us to recompile something each time a new version of R is released. We have been very busy for the last six months with other things and have not been able to issue new MGET releases. As a consequence, the current version of MGET (0.8a69) is only compatible up through R 3.4.3.
If you have multiple versions of R installed, you can instruct MGET which version to use by setting the R_HOME environment variable to the installation directory for the version of R you desire. For example, if you wanted to use 3.4.2, you could do this from a command prompt:
C:\>SET R_HOME=C:\Program Files\R\R-3.4.2
C:\>"C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.6\bin\ArcCatalog.exe"
That ArcCatalog session should use 3.4.2.
Now that we have wrapped up this busy period, we will be able to resume issuing new MGET releases more frequently. We are targeting mid-November for version 0.8a70, which should be compatible with R through version 3.5.1.
Best, Jason

Hi,
I am trying to use MGETs tool to 'Analyze spatiotemporal autocorellation of marked points' on some fisheries data. I have used it in the past but it's been awhile, and I have since updated to R 3.5.1 which is not compatible with the existing code. I tried to install an older, compatible version of R on my machine but unfortunately when I do that, the tool doesn't recognize that R is installed at all. MGET, R, and Arc are all installed in the same Program Files folder so not sure how to direct Arc or the tool to the appropriate R version.
Any chance support for the newer R versions will be added to this tool, or could you possibly help me figure out a way to direct the tool to recognize the earlier R program I have installed? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Best, Joe |
