Hello Julienne,

Thanks for your interest in MGET. I apologize for MGET and our website being neglected over the past two years. We have not had funding to support MGET maintenance in a number of years so it has been catch as catch can when it comes to keeping it up to date. One of the things we have not done is port forward our larval connectivity example from our old Wordpress server. You can see a mostly complete example of this on the archive.org "wayback machine" here. This will give you an idea of how those tools work and some detailed advice on using them. Please note that the wayback machine can take several minutes to fully load the page, and sometime not all of the images render for some reason. If you try out these tools, the best source of ocean currents to use is HYCOM GLBv0.08 / GLBy0.08. You should use that tool to load currents into your simulation.

I am out of the office until July 31 but would be happy to meet with you on Zoom when I return. Until then, I can try to help over email as time allows, but my responses will be slow.

My research is conducted within Dr. Alastair Harborne's Tropical Fish Ecology Lab, and my project will utilize MGET and ArcGIS to create a dispersal model of great barracuda larvae. I have encountered obstacles in accessing the example links provided on the MGET website to get started with the program-- both the data download links (Gulf of Mexico and New Zealand-- screenshots attached) appear to be broken.
