Hello, I'm working with sea surface height data using a netCDF file and I want to be able to use the data in ArcMAP but I'm having trouble using the raster file. My ultimate goal is to
1) Add the raster file to an existing ArcMap project
2) Extract Values to Points

I have done step 2 with a bathymetry file (extracted values to points with success) published in the literature but for some reason when I try the same thing with downloaded sea surface height data it doesn't work. I tried to use the ArcMAP tool "Make the NetCDF to a raster layer" with my netCDF file but I cannot  Extract Values to Points (I get Rastervalue = NULL). I can create the raster file and I know the raster file has values b/c when I use the info icon I see values indicating that it may be the sea surface height values.

Do you have a protocol to follow and can you provide me with someone's name who has done this who would be able to help?
