Hello Annika,

Thanks for your inquiry. We have indeed made some progress on porting MGET to Python 3 and ArcGIS Pro. As part of this, we have moved MGET's development to https://github.com/jjrob/MGET. Please see the installation instructions there.

Only a few tools have been ported so far, mostly related to acquiring oceanographic data and manipulating rasters. We hoped to make further progress before announcing it but we're interleaving this work with some species distribution modeling projects that have upcoming deadlines, so progress is sporadic. In any case, what's currently available is 100% functional, just limited in scope as compared to the Python 2 / ArcGIS Desktop toolbox.

If you have any questions, we encourage you to use the Discussions Forum there. We'll keep the mget-help listsrv open for a while but want to steer queries about the Python 3 / ArcGIS Pro version to that forum.

Best,
Jason

Hello MGET Team,

A number of years ago I had started to dabble with your brilliant MGET tool in ArcGIS 10, and then I took a different job for a few years before starting back into academia five months ago.  I have been told that we now cannot access ArcGIS 10 and have to use ArcGIS Pro.  I see on your website that you were hoping to get some investment from a funder to help with the work needed to release a version that will be compatible - is there any update on when this may happen?

Thank you so much.

All the best,
Annika
