Hi Rachel,
Unfortunately, we have not yet ported the classification modeling tools from the ArcGIS Desktop version of MGET to the ArcGIS Pro version. So if you're looking to fit a and predict a classification model, only the older version of MGET can do that, currently.
But there are some tools in the new MGET for working with rasters that could be helpful in the overall process. For example:
- The Project Raster to Template tool handles the problems of reprojecting, clipping, rescaling, snapping, masking, and interpolating missing data all in one go. This is helpful if you have land/water mask raster that defines the coordinate system, extent, and cell size and specifies which cells are land and which are water, and you want to take other rasters representing model covariates and coerce them to be exactly the same as your study area. This is a common problem in spatial modeling, where you need all of the covariates to be represented on exactly the same grid, having data and NoData for exactly the same cells.
- The Interpolate Time Series of Rasters at Points tool can take a point feature class that has a date column, match the points to a directory tree of rasters that have dates, and sample the date-matching raster for each point. This is very helpful if you have a dynamic covariate, such as sea surface temperature, that you need to extract values from a time series of SST images.
We are periodically porting over tools from the older version of MGET to the new one, so eventually the modeling tools will make it there. But I don't have a specific ETA for those tools at this time.
Best,
Jason
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the quick reply and the link! I'll check it out now.
Random other Question - would this help me at all with backscatter - benthic habitat classification / characterization (NOAA, BOEM)?
Appreciated,

Hi Rachel,
Yes, please check out https://github.com/jjrob/MGET. Apologies we have not updated the MGEL webpage about this yet.
Best,
Jason
