Hi Ian,

We're sorry you're seeing this problem. It does sound like an installation or compatibility issue. Unfortunately I do not have a copy of Windows 7 yet so I cannot say how well MGET works on it yet. When I checked several months ago, ESRI was not supporting ArcGIS 9.3.1 on Windows 7, but this could have changed, and I have read elsewhere that it works ok. In any case, I suspect you are not seeing an ArcGIS issue, but rather an MGET/Windows/R compatibility problem.

Could you please enable verbose MGET logging, reproduce the problem, and send me the entire logging output as an attachment? (See the instructions here.) This may not be enough information to diagnose the problem completely, but it will be a good start.

Note: the log output will be VERY large, particularly for tools like Fit GLM that read large tables. I recommend you try it with a simple tool, such as Evaluate R Statements. When you are done, you might want to disable it so you don't get so much output every time.

Thanks,

Jason

Subject: [mget-help] Problem with MGET tools that invoke R...

Hi guys,

I'm trying to apply a GLM to a set of rasters using MGET, and I'm having trouble getting MGET to talk to R when running tools in ArcGIS.  For any MGET tools that invoke R, I get the following error message:

ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.
<type 'exceptions.ImportError'>: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.

I've tried 2 versions of R (2.9.0,2.9.2), 2 versions of python(2.5.2,2.5.4), and 2 versions of MGET(0.7,0.8a) with ArcGIS 9.3.1.  All give the same error.  I'm running Windows 7 RC2. Any tips?

Cheers,
Ian
