Dear MGET developers,
My name is Rico Santiago and I'm currently the GIS officer for the Loughs
Agency in N.Ireland. We are a small inter-governmental organisation charged
with the management of the two loughs which straddle the Republic of Ireland
and Northern Ireland (as well as their terrestrial catchments). We are
currently looking at ways we can efficiently/effectively model shellfish
species distribution in the loughs and, during my search, came across MGET.
I was hoping to find out more about the capabilities/features/uses/etc. of
this system and am very interested in reading the following article referred
to in the MGET site:
Roberts, J.J., B.D. Best, D.C. Dunn, E.A. Treml, and P.N. Halpin (2010).
Marine Geospatial Ecology Tools: An integrated framework for ecological
geoprocessing with ArcGIS, Python, R, MATLAB, and C++. Environmental
Modelling & Software 25: 1197-1207
I am humbly requesting a personal copy of this paper if at all possible. If
not, could you please point me to any resource with a detailed summary of the
this system as well as any real-life projects employing the system.
I'm sure you're all quite busy, so I thank you so much for your time and
efforts in this matter!
All the best,
Rico Santiago
