I am sorry but I did not notice the error "Running the
pre-installation script failed Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 139, in <module> RuntimeError: The Python for Windows Extensions (a.k.a. the pywin32 package) are not installed for this version of Python. MGET requires this package. Please download it from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/, install it, and run this MGET setup program again. When you download it, be sure to select the package that is appropriate for your version of Python (version 2.6)." I have zoned in on the file that i have to download http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/files/pywin32/Build216/ but when i hit the file that I need pywin32-216.win32-py2.6.exe i am sent to another page which is very confusing. How do I get this file? Also I have noticed that I already have the Python 2.6 GeoEco-0.8a26 in my Add or Remove Task Bar. Thanks a lot. Helga -------- Original Message --------
Hi, I tried to install MGET on my Windows computer with XP but I havent had much luck. I have ArcGis 10 and Python 2.6 - others in my lab at Lamont Doherty seem to have had no problems with the same version of ArcGis. I downloaded GeoEco-0.8a26.win32-py2.6.exe from your site and then opened it and went through the 'wizard' but at the last step nothing really happens. I checked ArcTools Box but I dont see it there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks a lot and sorry for the bother.
