Ruben, Thanks for your interest in MGET. I’m glad it has been useful, at least until now... I have good news and bad news. The good news is that it should be possible. I just tried the following sequence of installations on my Windows 7 64-bit machine, and it worked: · Python 2.4.4 for 32-bit Windows (python-2.4.4.msi) · Pywin32 build 218 for 32-bit Windows (pywin32-218.win32-py2.4.exe) · MGET 0.8a45 for 32-bit Windows (MGET-0.8a45.win32-py2.4.exe) I received no errors and I was able to run some MGET functions from the Python interpreter on the command line. I did not try to install ArcGIS 9.2 on this machine. I think the problem you are seeing is not related to ArcGIS—it is happening before anything related to ArcGIS is attempted by the MGET installer. The bad news is that the error message that you sent does not help us understand the problem very well. This is not your fault; Windows itself just does not provide much information for us. Did you also encounter an error installing pywin32? Was it a similar-looking error to what happened when you tried to install MGET? This would be interesting to know because both MGET and pywin32 use the same code to implement their installer. This code is called the Python distutils wininst installer. Knowing whether there is a general problem with that code, rather than a specific problem with MGET, will help us understand what to do next. Best regards, Jason From: Venegas Li, Ruben Ernesto [mailto:] Hello, I have been trying to install MGET into my laptop, I have ArcGis 9.2, I have the latest service-pack. Recently I updated to Windows 7 from Windows vista, and now I can't install MGET tools, neither the pywin.. I apologize, as I guess this is more a problem in my computer, but any help would be greatly appreciated, after 6 hours it has become very frustrating and any idea on what to do would be helpful! I paste here an event-log of the error I am getting, I think it is not much info but maybe you know if this has happened to anyone else. By the way, great toolbox! Thanks a lot! I was using Integrated Data Viewer to aggregate some images but doing it in ArcGis is more straightforward... as to make the maps!
