Dear Annette,
Thanks for your interest in MGET. I can help you with this problem.
To fit a categorical model, use this syntax:
factor(response) ~ predictor1 + predictor2 + ...
Typically response must be an integer (LONG or SHORT in ArcGIS) or character
string field (TEXT in ArcGIS). If this does not work for you, please send me
the complete output from the tool and I'll help you further diagnose the
problem.
Best,
Jason

Subject: [mget-help] fit randomForest Model Tool
Hello
I try to use the fit randomForest Model tool using the randomForest package
for a classification model. But I get the following error message:
<class 'rpy.RPy_RExeption'>: error in typeof(x) : Objekt '..' not found.
I guess the datatype is wrong? My object is a categorical variable, but I
don't know what datatype I have to define for that field in ArcGis to make
the tool work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Annette
