The stability condition is calculated using the approach of Smolarkiewicz (1983) equation 21. I have attached the paper for your reference. I hope this helps.

Dear Dr. Jason Roberts,
I hope you are well. I am very thankful for the help you have provided me in some previous e-mails. As I have mentioned I am using this tool for my thesis, so I am writing to ask some questions about the connectivity tool from the MGET. I would like to know how the stability condition value is calculated. I had some warning messages about the stability condition. I had already fixed them with the value that is recommended in the message. The number of cells in my rasters is 360x393 (141480), and the duration (PLD for the larvaes) are the following values 7, 20, 33 days
