Dear Jason and Stephen,

thank you very much for your quick answers. I will check my MGET version, it may probably need updating. Many thanks for your kindness!

Dear Victoria,

As Stephen pointed out (thanks for that, Stephen) the URL reported by the tool is old. In summer 2015, NASA PO.DAAC switched its directory structures after it began redistributing the “2014 reprocessing” of the MODIS data. I updated MGET around that time to use the new directory structure. Which version of MGET are you running?

I would recommend updating to 0.8a64. (Uninstall your existing copy first.) This will provide access to the new MODIS data.

(Note, depending on your version of ArcGIS, you may need MGET 0.8a65, which is not been officially released on the website yet. We had problems updating it, and then I went on vacation and won’t be back until 29 August. So if 0.8a64 does not work I can send a link to a temporary location hosting 0.8a65 or you can just wait until I’m back next week.)

Best,

Jason

Hi Victoria,

I don’t know if this helps, but if you navigate manually to the THREDDS URL, it doesn’t exist. It seems the path has changed and is now (note the v2014.0 in the path):

http://opendap.jpl.nasa.gov/opendap/allData/modis/L3/aqua/11um/v2014.0/9km/annual/catalog.xml

Cheers,

Stephen
